Charles Fisher to join Guggenheim Partners as Senior Managing Director

Senior Professional to Further Strengthen Guggenheim's Preeminent Media Practice

Guggenheim Partners, LLC today announced that Charles Fisher will join Guggenheim Securities, the firm’s investment banking and capital markets arm, as senior managing director. Fisher will further strengthen the firm’s preeminent media investment banking group and is expected to start in mid-November.
 
Alan Schwartz, executive chairman of Guggenheim Partners, said: “Charles is a seasoned and well respected media banker, and we are pleased to welcome him to Guggenheim. The media sector is core to our investment banking business, and Charles has a proven track record of building lasting client relationships. I am confident that he will be a tremendous addition to the growing team at Guggenheim.”
 
Fisher is the head of Nomura Securities’ Media investment banking practice for the Americas. Previously, he served as managing director and led Nomura’s European cable investment banking business based in London, and was a managing director at Lehman Brothers in both London and New York.
 
Fisher began his banking career in the media sector in 2000 at Lehman Brothers, developing close and lasting relationships with companies spanning a broad cross section of the media industry. Prior to Wall Street, he was a consultant at Monitor Group. Fisher holds a B.A. (Honors) from Queen’s University and an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School.
