“There has been a lot of M&A dialog in the boardroom for several years and I think it has taken longer to get over the finish line and a lot of deals don’t get done. So I think we are seeing that backlog come to the forefront and I think it will last a while,” Schwartz said.
Schwartz added there were many new companies in the new economy and leveraged buyouts that would want to go public but that deals would depend on market appetite.
