Guggenheim Investments Receives the 2011 Industry Innovation Award in the Core Fixed Income (US) Category from aiCIO Magazine

NEW YORK – Guggenheim Investments, the investment management business of Guggenheim Partners, announced today that it has received the 2011 Industry Innovation Award in the Core Fixed Income (US) Category by aiCIO magazine. The award was announced at the second annual aiCIO Industry Innovation Awards Dinner held on December 1 in New York.

“Our aiCIO Industry Innovation Awards honor those firms that have demonstrated investment management excellence and innovative thinking—not just in the past year, but throughout their history and over the long term,” said Kip McDaniel, editor of aiCIO. “Guggenheim Investments certainly lives up to this standard and more.”

The event was held in New York at The Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers where Scott Minerd along with other Guggenheim Investment executives accepted the award in front of more than 150 asset managers, consultants and asset servicers from around the world.

The awards are chosen by the aiCIO editorial team in conjunction with an Advisory Board comprised of former chief investment officers and pension officials, this year’s winners represent those firms committed to helping pensions, endowments & foundations, and sovereign wealth funds solve their investment needs through innovative approaches to asset management and servicing. Awards are presented in five categories: core investment; alternative investment; strategy and tactics; servicing; and holistic.
