Guggenheim Securities Announces Hiring of Rich McDermott; Launch of Focused Middle-Market Equities Effort

Guggenheim Securities today announced the hiring of Rich McDermott as a Managing Director in its New York office. Mr. McDermott is joining Guggenheim Securities with a mandate to build a focused middle-markets equities team.

Dante Ferrarie, Senior Managing Director at Guggenheim Securities, said, “We are delighted to announce Rich’s hire, and we look forward to his arrival to help us expand our middle-market focus, build out our specialized distribution capabilities, and deliver world-class research to our institutional clients.”

Rich McDermott will be joining from Lazard Capital markets where he was a managing Director and head of middle-market equity sales. Previously, Mr. McDermott was a founding member of the middle-market sales team at Cowen and Company. He has both buy-side and sell-side experience from earlier roles at Lehman Brothers and Merrill Lynch.

Guggenheim Launches Sustainability Quotient Research Studies to Advance Institutional Investment in Sustainable Infrastructure
