Guggenheim Securities Hires Veteran Analyst Matthew DiFrisco, Expanding Coverage of Consumer Sector

NEW YORK – Guggenheim Securities, the investment banking and capital markets division of Guggenheim Partners, today announced the hiring of veteran equity analyst Matthew DiFrisco as a Director and senior equity analyst, covering the restaurant industry.

“Matt’s hire underlines our commitment to providing in-depth coverage of every sector we follow,” said Matthew Johnson, Senior Managing Director and Head of Equities at Guggenheim Securities. “His expertise will be an excellent addition to our growing team in the consumer sector, including John Heinbockel in Food & Drug Retail and Howard Tubin in Softlines Retail.”

Mr. DiFrisco has been covering the consumer sector for nearly 20 years on Wall Street, including the last 15 as a senior restaurant analyst. He was most recently with Buckingham Research Group and earlier had covered this sector for firms including Oppenheimer and Thomas Weisel Partners.

He graduated with a BA in Economics and Finance from Catholic University.
