NEW YORK – Guggenheim Securities, the investment banking and capital markets division of Guggenheim Partners, announced today that Matthew Brogdon has joined the firm as a Senior Managing Director in the firm’s Houston-based Oil and Gas investment banking group.
Mr. Brogdon brings over two decades of experience advising and managing oil and gas companies and assets. He joins Guggenheim most recently from Citigroup where he was Co-Head of the Energy Acquisitions & Divestitures (A&D) Group. Before Citigroup, Mr. Brogdon served as Chief Operating Officer of a private oil and gas company. Prior to that role, he served in the Corporate Advisory Practice at Evercore Partners, where he focused on M&A and capital raising for energy firms. He began his career in engineering roles with ExxonMobil and Netherland Sewell & Associates.

Mr. Brogdon received his M.B.A. from the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin and his B.S. from The University of Texas at Austin. He is based in Guggenheim’s Houston office.
